- Springbrook Men’s Shed
Springbrook Men’s shed opened in 2017 in Carricks Road and offers activities built around arts, crafts and technical skills – the kind of things done in the backyard shed. Rather than work on those interests alone, a community shed provides men with the venue to do just that, underpinned by social interaction.
Obtained from the Australian Defence Force, the Springbrook shed is 25 metres long and was originally built in the 70s and designed for shipping to the Vietnam War. It also houses a small kitchen, library and meeting area where members who do not wish to work on tools can simply relax, have a cuppa and enjoy the company of others.
Springbrook Men’s Shed meets on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9 am to 1 pm.
