  • Mudgeeraba Scout Group

Scouts engage and inspire young Australians to develop confidence, resilience and leadership.  The Mudgeeraba Scout Den is located at Piallingo Street, Mudgeeraba. 

The scout movement is comprised of sections developed around the age of the young people (both boys and girls) i.e. Joeys Scouts – 5 – 7 years, Cub scouts 8 – 10 years, Scouts 11 – 14 years, Ventura Scouts 15 – 17 years, Rover Scouts 18 – 25 years, Leaders & Adult members 18+. More info: Mudgeeraba Scouts

  • The Hinterland Community Band

The Hinterland Community Band comprises volunteer musicians from a wide base of musical skills and ages, from all areas of the Gold Coast, who rehearse then perform for the community at a wide range of venues and settings.

It comprises two main ensembles: 
- The Concert Band with Music Director DAVID UNDERWOOD
- The Swing Band with Music Director, ROGER MUNSIE

Instrumentalists of all ages and experience are invited to visit the Hinterland Community Band rehearsals, which are held at the purpose-built Mudgeeraba Music Centre – Cnr. Gold Coast- Springbrook Road & Somerset Drive, Mudgeeraba each Thursday evening from 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm.  More info: Hinterland Band

  • Gold Coast Woodturners

Located at 238 Mudgeeraba Road, Mudgeeraba, Gold Coast Woodturners is one of the oldest and largest specialist woodturning clubs in Australia.  The club’s overall aim is to promote, teach and disseminate the skills associated with the centuries-old craft of woodturning.  In order to achieve that aim, the club runs learning sessions for all levels of woodturning, from the raw newcomer to the advanced turner.  More info: Woodturners

  • The Gold Coast & Hinterland Spinners & Weavers Group Inc.

The aim of Gold Coast & Hinterland Spinners & Weavers is to create interest in and further the art and craft of spinning, weaving, dyeing and other fibre related crafts.

The group get together on club days for a friendly chat, to exchange ideas, teach each other new skills and admire each other’s craft.

Members are able to borrow books and magazines from their library, to purchase products from their well-stocked shop and to hire equipment, spinning wheels and looms etc. 

Meetings: From 9am-1pm on 2nd and 4th Sat every month and every Wed from 9 am at Woodturners Cottage, Mudgeeraba Heritage Centre, 238 Mudgeeraba Road. More info:  Spinners & Weavers

  • Queensland Country Women’s Association - Mudgeeraba-Springbrook

CWA is about women from all over Queensland coming together for many different reasons, whether it is about meeting new people, making new friends, learning new skills or getting involved in the community,
